Emerald Cultural Institute has taught English in Dublin since 1986. It works from a Victorian house beside Palmerston Park in Rathgar, where a modern teaching wing was added to the original building. Classes are small.
Long-stay students take an Academic Year Programme of 25 to 35 weeks. Each student gets a mentor from the senior teaching staff, who agrees a study path and follows the progress through the year. The programme can be built from morning tuition alone or with afternoon modules, and it prepares the student for the examination that Irish immigration requires at the end of a long course.
